TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern your use of our travel advisory services and constitute a binding agreement between you (the "Traveller," "you," or "your") and Blue Coastal Travel Inc. ("Blue Coastal Travel," "we," "us," or "our").

Proudly affiliated with Envoyage Travel, a global network of independent travel advisors backed by the Flight Centre Travel Group.

1. AGENCY RELATIONSHIP

Blue Coastal Travel Inc. acts as a travel agent only. We curate and arrange travel services provided by independent third-party suppliers ("Travel Suppliers") including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other service providers.

Payment made to Blue Coastal Travel, as agent of the Travel Supplier, constitutes acceptance of the Travel Supplier's terms and conditions. Your remedy for any service issues lies with the Travel Supplier, not with Blue Coastal Travel or Envoyage Travel.

We rely on information provided by Travel Suppliers and cannot guarantee its accuracy. We do not represent that any travel products or services will meet your expectations and do not accept legal liability for Travel Supplier services.

2. TRAVEL INSURANCE - STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Travel insurance is essential and strongly recommended for all travelers. Travel involves inherent risks including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, and unforeseen circumstances.

We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical emergencies and evacuation
  • Baggage loss and delay
  • Travel delays and missed connections

While we can assist you in selecting appropriate coverage and understanding your insurance needs, all travel is ultimately at the consumer's risk. We strongly encourage you to purchase insurance, preferably through us for comprehensive understanding of your coverage needs.

3. PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

All prices and availability are subject to change at the sole discretion of Travel Suppliers until full payment is received and tickets/confirmations are issued.

If the total price increases by more than 7% (excluding retail sales tax or GST), you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund.

Airfares, tour rates, and all travel services are subject to change without notice until paid in full. Price increases must be paid upon demand.

4. CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, AND REFUNDS

Most flight and travel bookings are non-refundable and non-reroutable. Changes or amendments to itineraries or passenger details may incur penalties from airlines, Travel Suppliers, or Blue Coastal Travel.

By accepting these terms, you authorize Blue Coastal Travel to seek refunds or credits available from Travel Suppliers on your behalf.

Airline tickets are generally non-refundable once travel has commenced. Canceling any flight segment may result in loss of the remaining value of your booking.

You must notify the Travel Supplier prior to initial departure to preserve any potential refund value.

5. TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION

It is your sole responsibility to obtain and maintain valid travel documentation including:

  • Valid passport (recommended 6 months validity beyond return date)
  • Appropriate visas
  • Health certificates and vaccinations
  • International driver's permits (where required)
  • Government-issued photo ID for domestic travel

Immigration authorities may deny entry even with proper documentation. Travelers with criminal history may be denied entry.

For travel with children, additional documentation may be required including birth certificates, custody documents, and notarized consent letters from non-traveling parents/guardians.

We strongly recommend reviewing travel.gc.ca for Canadian traveler requirements.

6. FLIGHT RECONFIRMATION AND CHECK-IN

You must reconfirm flight times at least 24 hours prior to departure. Airlines may change schedules, and Blue Coastal Travel is not responsible for schedule changes.

Check-in requirements:

  • Domestic flights: 2 hours prior to departure
  • International flights: 3 hours prior to departure
  • Online check-in recommended 12-72 hours before departure

Late arrival for check-in will result in denied boarding.

7. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCES

Baggage policies vary by carrier. Check your airline's specific weight, piece limitations, and fee structure before travel.

8. ADDITIONAL FEES

Airport fees, hotel fees, resort fees, government taxes, and other charges may not be included in your booking and are often collected at destination.

9. ACCOMMODATION STANDARDS

Hotel ratings and quality standards vary internationally and may differ from Canadian standards. Service may be interrupted for renovations or maintenance. Blue Coastal Travel is not responsible for accommodation quality or service interruptions.

We recommend researching accommodations and reading reviews before booking.

10. CREDIT CARD POLICIES

Chargebacks: If a Travel Supplier cannot provide contracted services, your remedy lies with that provider. You agree not to chargeback payments made to Blue Coastal Travel.

Declined Cards: If your credit card is declined, you must settle amounts owing via direct deposit or cash within 2 business days of notification.

Destination Requirements: Many Travel Suppliers require a major credit card at check-in for incidentals. We recommend having $1,000 CAD available credit.

11. NOTICE TO TRAVELLERS

Living standards, accommodations, utilities, food quality, and services vary internationally. Blue Coastal Travel is not responsible for differences in standards or any resulting loss, damage, illness, or injury.

Attempt to resolve issues locally with Travel Suppliers first, then contact your Blue Coastal Travel advisor.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and Canada. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Vancouver, British Columbia.

13. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By booking travel services through Blue Coastal Travel, you acknowledge that you have:

  • Read, understood, and agreed to these Terms
